AGM and Annual Networking Event 2025

27/5/2025

Picture
On 26th May 2025 Greenwoods Corner Epsom Business Association (GCEBA) held its AGM and Annual Networking Event and, after five years of operation, the business association continues to go from strength to strength.

During the past financial year, the business association has: provided its members with free sustainability coaching; further strengthened its relationship with CPNZ; extensively consulted and represented its members in relation to proposed safety design changes by Auckland Transport; held the phenomenally successful Greenwoods Corner Spring Festival; installed Kiwiana Christmas stencils on participating member businesses; run the "Cracker of a Christmas" competition; held the Greenwoods Corner Go Green Eco Day 2025; and run the "Greenwoods Corner Climate Change Poster Competition" for pre-school and school aged children.

With further events planned for the rest of the calendar year, there are plenty of reasons to keep coming back to the Corner.

At the AGM, feedback was sought from members about Auckland Transport's proposed T3 lane changes and the extent to which they would impact local businesses. This enabled members to raise and discuss their concerns in an open forum, informing the committee as to the key issues to be addressed in its submission on the consultation.

The business association would like to thank Greenwoods Kitchen for hosting the AGM and the Albert-Eden Local Board for its continued support of the business association and the local businesses it represents.

2024 Annual General Meeting and Networking Event

20/5/2024

Picture
Greenwoods Corner Epsom Business Association’s AGM on 20th May 2024 marked the conclusion of our fourth year of operation, during which our membership has continued to grow.

A lot has happened over the past year, from the launch of Greenwoods Corner Epsom’s Historical Walk in July to holding our inaugural Spring Festival in September, and from the installation of Festive Stencils in November to running a Pukeko Treasure Hunt Competition in the lead up to Christmas, 2023 was full of local events and activities.

2024 has, for the first time, already seen Greenwoods Corner co-host two events in April for the city-wide Eco Festival and there is much more to come in the year ahead. Please keep checking our Events page to keep up to date on upcoming events in Greenwoods Corner.

The AGM provided a detailed insight into each of these recently completed projects and the committee's planned activities for the rest of the year.

Immediately following the AGM, attendees reviewed and debated the expansive design changes proposed by Auckland Transport (AT) for Greenwoods Corner Business Centre. This enabled our members to have a robust discussion around AT’s proposals and provide feedback to the committee on the designs currently tabled. This has greatly helped the committee identify key issues to be raised with AT and we thank each of those members who participated and provided feedback.

The business association would also like to thank the generous financial support it has received to date from the Albert-Eden Local Board and participating local businesses. Thank you must also go to our co-hosts and event partners that have worked with us throughout the year including the Epsom and Eden District Historical Society, Epsom Girls Grammar Rowing Club, Gardner Road Kindergarten, Albert-Eden Puketapapa Eco Festival, Albert-Eden Climate Action Network, Josca Bicycle Repairs, and Bike Hub Mt Roskill.
